I like the irony, and I like the spiders. In addition Joy is very sarcastic and unjoyful.

Ironically at the end of last movie she was the one given a “sensible” name and the normal one. Meanwhile Joy is vocied by Cera (movies 5-14 with a notably different voice), and Nellie is voiced by Amanda Bynes.
Aranea is voiced by Violet from Wordgirl, and it is distracting due to it being the same voice. Wilbur is raising the three spiders from the last film, Nellie, Joy, and Aranea. Wilbur is now way more of a vulnerable coward, Templeton seems to be the same except he is now a single father. They added lots of hair and nobody looks the same at all. It starts with a flashback, and the animation and music are very good, until the actual characters show up. Unfortunately it is written by Mario Piluso, who is just a storyboard artist with no directing credentials I can find. It is written by Cliff Ruby and Elana Lesser, writers of Balto, so again a good sign. The songs are written by Michele Brourman and Amanda McBroom who did most of them. Unfortunately plenty of the music is reused, but that does give it a familiar feel, at least to me. The music is by Michael Tavera who did the music for all The Land Before Time sequels. I am very nostalgic for the first movie, and I always heard this was an awful movie.
